In his gentle and encouraging manner, Gordon strives to support students of all levels in their personal exploration of the practice of yoga. Incorporating a teaching style that is soft yet focused, accessible yet challenging, his Vinyasa inspired classes are grounded in a mindful awareness of breath linked with movement, a graceful meditation in motion. In addition, Gordon’s restorative yoga classes promote deep relaxation and a sense of inner stillness and peace, offering a space for tranquility and exploration of postures that support body and mind both.
With the ancient practice of Ashtanga yoga as his foundation, Gordon has studied with a wide variety of teachers over the years, including Beryl Bender Birch, Govinda Kai, Manju Pattabhi Jois, David Swenson, Cyndi Lee, Leslie Kaminoff, and Michael Stone. Gordon strives to impart in his students the wisdom he has so graciously been offered, resulting in a steadiness of mind, body and spirit and a heartfelt compassion for self and others.
