Tom Kaczmarski
Tom makes his money on film sets as a grip but his passion has always been elsewhere. He is a long time meditation practitioner. His interest in Zen and Chan goes back decades and led him to live in an urban Zen Center for 6 years. Tom has lost count of the number of retreats he has attended. Recently he was honoured to be invited to attend the Dharma Drum Mountain meditation instructors training course for lay practitioners. His purpose is to bring this practice, which has enriched his life, to a broader audience here in the west.

Venerable Chang Wu
Venerable Chang Wu is the current Director of Dharma Drum Vancouver Center in Richmond, B.C., a branch monastery of Dharma Drum Mountain (DDM), founded by Chan Master Sheng Yen.

Venerable Chang Wu began practising with Master Sheng Yen in 1993. Before entering monastic life in 2000, Venerable Chang Wu was a business professional in New York holding an MBA. Since joining the DDM sangha, she has become involved in the publication and translation Buddhist books.

Other than meditation practice, Chinese Buddhism, and inter-religious dialogue, she also enjoys being in nature, walking in the woods and artwork. She is a teacher of Chan Buddhism, and has led meditation retreats in Canada, the United States and Taiwan.
