DanceMandala is a free form movement and stillness meditation, with gentle verbal facilitation, carefully selected music, and with your body as a guide. Allow yourself to re-connect to your core essence, your inner child, with your joy, playfulness, and give space for your authentic self-expression. Everyone that can move can dance. “Dance is the universal language of humanity.”
“Nothing is more revealing than movement, the body says what words cannot” – Martha Graham
What to expect: This practice is about an hour and a half long and you will be guided through different stages that will allow you to connect with different parts of yourself. This is an inward journey so it is encouraged to have eyes closed or soft gaze to benefit more from the meditation. This is an open class for all levels and everybody. There is no previous experience needed. This is a non-judgemental space, please come with an open mind and an open heart.
We will start with warming music so you can find your space in the room and start connecting with your breath, with your move. There will be a few songs until everyone gets here and then we will start. By the end, we will come to a circle and share some words if you wish. There will be tea for those who want and hugs are always welcome.
Saturday, June 8th, 12pm – 2pm
$20 per person (including tax)
Facilitator’s Bio-Tamar Vivancos
Dance has been a part of my life since I was very young. I have been practicing formless and authentic movement for 4 years and it has changed my life. Bringing me creativity and freedom to be fully me. It has been the most effective form of healing that I have found and I am very excited to share this with you. It is deeply in my heart and I think through the body, we can reach the fullness of our being. Let’s dance with life and bring light to our lives. I am a yoga teacher, DanceMandala facilitator and a wellness coach/counsellor.
