Explore the mutual support, the synergy of Bones ( compression element) and Connective tissue ( tension element) by practicing with 7 vital principles of Vijnana ( consciousness sheath).Understanding and applying the principle of bio-tensegrity in YIN inspired practice ( long holding postures) cultivating easy, generous, poised movements and structural stability.
Applying this notion of bio-tensegrity in yoga asana (movement into and holding of yoga postures) is bringing to life, both somatically and kinesthetically, the pivotal teaching on posture described in Patanjali sutra 2-46: “Sthiram Sukham Asanam”- Yoga postures (Asana) implies both – structural stability (Stiram) as well as ease and joy of non-resistance (Sukham).
