Yoga of the Inner Hidden Things

Saturday, Jul 14, 2018

Time: 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Location: Commercial Drive

with Swami Muktibodhananda Saraswati

Asana + Pranayama = Meditation. They are all part of the same equation to realize your inner Self.

Knowing the true inner Self happens in increments. Before you can experience your true essential Self you will be faced with whatever has been imposed on your mind that covers your inner self. How do you face this experience? Some people turn to addictions as the pain is too hard for them to face. The path of Self Realization takes courage and determination and in Yoga it starts with Asana and self-reflection. It is the Yoga of the Inner Hidden Things. Swami will enlighten you on what is do-able through yoga and the process of mind management as you explore your path to your inner Self.

About Swami Muktibodhananda Saraswati

Gabrielle Grace, born in Melbourne, Australia, had an early calling to yoga at the age of 12. At 17, she left for India to spend 10 years at the feet of her Mentor and Guru, Paramahansa Swami Satyananda Saraswati – a direct disciple of Swami Sivananda of Rishikesh. Gabrielle was initiated into the dasnami order of sannyasa, dedicating her life to the teaching and practice of all aspects of yoga. Since 1977 she is known as Swami Muktibodhananda Saraswati. Swamiji was given the title Yogacharya, yoga authority, from Paramahansa Swami Niranjanananda in 1993.

Swami Muktibodhananda was inspired to distil the yogic knowledge and experiences she gained in India into three extraordinary books. Her first book, Swara Yoga: The Tantric Science of Brain Breathing is a suitable text for advanced yoga practitioners and yoga teachers. Her second publication, Hatha Yoga Pradipika: Light on Hatha Yoga, consists of a thorough commentary on each Sanskrit verse with English translation. It is the most widely used modern English version of the original 15th century Hatha Yoga Pradipika, written by Yogi Swatmarama, considered as a yoga ‘bible’ of this science. Swamiji’s third book, Energy: The Spark of Life & Universal Goddess is an eminently practical guide to the sometimes mystifying and esoteric practices of yoga.
