Bernadette Pacana

Bernadette Pacana Open Door Yoga Instructor

I took my first yoga class in 2010 out of curiosity and the rest was history! It had me at Savasana!

I started teaching in 2012 after I did my 200-HR training. It was then that I realized that my passion is to teach and share this wonderful gift of yoga. The practice has challenged me in so many ways and at the same, has given me that sense of calm that I did not know existed. I then continued my yoga education and got my 500-HR certification with Yogaworks New York in 2014.
(Every class I taught made me fall in love with the practice even more. My students are my teachers too.) I have been teaching ever since and have taught in the Philippines, New York and Saigon. (When I moved here 3 years ago, I feel blessed to still be able to share this practice in this beautiful city!) Aside from Vinyasa, I am also teach Yin, Restorative and SUP Yoga. I am also a teacher trainer in the studio that I co-own in the Philippines.
As a wellness advocate, my journey has also led to the world of Holistic Nutrition, where I am now a student. I have conducted wellness retreats called the Ubuntu Festival, inspired by the quote, “I am because you are.”, where we promote mindfulness and loving kindness.
My classes are mindful and grounding, with elements of exploration and play!
See you on the mat!
